Biography of Soesilo Bambang Yudhoyono

Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is the 6th president of the Republic of Indonesia. Unlike the previous president, he was the first president directly elected by the people in the second round of the Presidential Election process on September 20, 2004. The best graduate of AKABRI (1973) who was familiarly called SBY was born in Pacitan, East Java September 9, 1949. His wife was Kristiani Herawati , was the third daughter of the late General (Ret.) Sarwo Edhi Wibowo.

This retired four-star general is the only child of the couple R. Soekotjo and Sitti Habibah. The soldier's blood dropped from his retired father as First Lieutenant. While his mother, Sitti Habibah, daughter of one of the founders of the Tremas Boarding School. He was blessed with two sons namely Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (following and matching the footsteps and achievements of SBY, graduating from Academic Year 2000 by winning Bintang Adhi Makayasa award) and Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (best graduate of Taruna Nusantara High School, Magelang who later pursued economics).

SR education is the most decisive future in SBY. When sitting in the fifth grade, he for the first time knew and was familiar with the name of the National Military Academy (AMN), Magelang, Central Java. Later AMN changed its name to Akabri. SBY entered Pacitan State Middle School, located south of the square. This is an idol school for the children of the City of Pacitan. Inheriting the attitude of his hard-disciplined father, SBY struggled to realize his childhood ideals of becoming a soldier by entering the Indonesian Armed Forces Academy (Akabri) after graduating from high school in late 1968. However, because he was late in registering, SBY did not directly enter the Indonesian Military Academy. So SBY also had the chance to become a 10 November Institute of Mechanical Engineering Surabaya (ITS) student.
