Biography of Jokowi

The 7th precedent of Indonesia is indeed familiarly called Mr Jokowi. Where the long name is Ir. H. Joko Widodo. Jokowi's religion is Islam. Based on Jokowi's history, he was born in Surakarta, June 21, 1961. He was a furniture entrepreneur in Surakarta. He was born to a couple of parents named Noto Mihardjo and Sujiatmi Notomihardjo. Jokowi is married to Iriana Joko Widodo who finally has 3 children named:

1. Gibran Rakabuming Raka (1988),
2. Kahiyang Ayu (1991),
3. Kaesang Pengarep (1995).

Jokowi's Education Short Profile

Jokowi is a child who had lived modestly with his parents in Surakarta. According to a collection of biographical articles, Jokowi began his education in elementary school, then went to junior high and high school. Not stopping there, Jokowi continued his studies at Gajah Mada University. After receiving a degree from the University from Yogyakarta, he migrated to work in Aceh. Where he works in one of the BUMNs. After gaining experience, he returned to Surakarta by working in a company engaged in the timber industry CV Roda Jati. Then in 1998 Jokowi began doing business with the capital and experience he had. Where he finally succeeded in developing his business in the field of furniture, his achievement was to become a furniture exporter in Surakarta.

The Beginning of Jokowi Falls into Political World as Surakarta Mayor
After success in the business world, in 2005 Jokowi decided to go into politics. Where he nominated as mayor of Solo with PDI Perjuangan. In the nomination, he succeeded in advancing as mayor of Solo, although many doubted his ability because of his basics as a furniture entrepreneur. But unexpectedly during Jokowi's leadership with the vice mayor of Solo, F.X Hadi Rudyatmo, the city of Solo made rapid progress. Where the city of Solo hosts a variety of important world-class events, and has a more advanced city layout than before.

Ir. Joko Widodo who nominated himself to become the Governor of DKI Jakarta

Because of his achievements in turning Solo into an advanced and better city, in 2012 he was nominated as the governor of Jakarta carried by the PDI Perjuangan party. Where he competed in the Jakarta gubernatorial election with Basuki Cahaya Purnama or better known as Ahok. He who is a figure of small people or small people trying to make Jakarta better and more blunt in every campaign. Until finally he succeeded in becoming number one in Jakarta at that time. Like when he was the mayor of Solo, Jokowi also made many changes and improved city planning in Jakarta. One of them is dealing with the problem of flooding in Jakarta that has been going on for a long time. His firm and simple attitude and real work for the people made many people start to admire him. So it is not surprising that many people nominate him as the number one person in Indonesia.

Jokowi's Leadership Becomes President of the Republic of Indonesia

Not even one period of being the Governor of Jakarta, he had to struggle again in campaign and election activities in his candidacy for president. Jokowi underwent many struggles to win as the seventh President. His struggle was fruitful where on October 20 a furniture entrepreneur was finally officially appointed as the seventh President replacing Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's leadership.
President Jokowi's leadership style is indeed known to the public with blusukan style. In addition, his simple style in life also in his speech made many people admire him. Where during Jokowi's leadership became President many of the decisions he made. Where one of them is the effort to develop Indonesia's progress fairly and evenly throughout the country.
