The Story of Google Founder who Successfully Billionaire
Larry Page is one of the founders of Google and is currently the President of Google Inc. Products. Lawrence E. Page was born in 1973 in Lansing, Michigan from Carl Vincent Page's parents, was a professor of computer science at the University of Michigan and Gloria Page, who was a teacher of computer programming at the University of Michigan. After graduating from East Lansing High School he studied and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan and continued his study of a Masters program at Stanford University.
While studying at Stanford University, Page was introduced to Sergey Brin. The two did not start as friends, seemed to disagree on most topics, but eventually found a subject that had become very interesting for both of them. Topics that retrieve information from large data sets. The pair then wrote what was widely considered to be their contribution, a working paper called "The Anatomy of a Large-Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine". since then they have become one of the ten most accessed scientific papers at Stanford University.
after they started working on a project which later became the Google search engine. After trying to sell ideas but failing, they wrote a business plan and brought in an initial total investment of almost $ 1 million to start their own company. September 1998 Google Inc. opens in Menlo Park, California. The company grew so fast and got so many employees in several offices in Relocation due to lack of space, finally Google Inc. settled in what is now called Mountain View, California. Over the next few years Google led by Larry and Sergey Google made many innovations and added to the product list and employees (almost 5,000 in 2006). October 2004 Google announces their first quarter results as a publicly offered company, with revenues recorded at $ 805.9 million. In 2005 Page was estimated to have a wealth of US $ 12 billion and became the sixteenth person in the Forbes magazine list and made him the 27th richest person in the world.
In 2002, Larry was named the Global Economic Forum Leader for Tomorrow. He is a member of the National Advisory Committee (NAC) for the University of Michigan College of Engineering, and together with Co-Founder Sergey Brin, Larry was awarded the Marconi Prize in 2004. He is the trustee of X PRIZE, and was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering in 2004.
Sergey Brin
Everyone knows Larry Page, but rarely does anyone know about another Google founder, Sergey Brin. Sergey Brin has thick Moscow blood. He was born on August 21, 1973. Besides being well-known in cyberspace, he is also a respected scientist. Sergey Brin received a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Maryland at College Park. He graduated from a Ph.D program in computer science at Stanford University. Sergey is also a recipient of a degree from the National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship and an MBA honorary degree from Instuto de Empressa.
At Stanford University, he met Larry Page and worked on a project which later became the forerunner of Google. Together with Larry Page, Sergey Brin finally reaped success by establishing a legendary search engine company, Google. In 2012, its total wealth was very abundant and was estimated to have reached 18.7 million dollars. This makes Sergey Brin one of the richest people in the world.
Young Sergey left Russia's homeland to America at the age of 6. He studied at the University of Maryland. He tried to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather who first studied mathematics and computer science. After graduating, he then continued his education at Stanford University to earn a Ph.D in computer science. Then he became friends with Larry Page. They complete the restroom in the dormitory with a cheap computer and try to research the data extraction system to build a sophisticated search engine. The program they successfully created later became very popular at Stanford University and they ended their studies by building Google in a small rented garage.
Sergey also spoke at international academic meetings, business forums and technology, including the World Economic Forum and the Technology, Entertainment and Design Conference. He shared his views on the technology industry and the future of search engines on the Charlie Rose Show, CNBC and CNN. In 2004, he and Larry page were awarded "Person of the Week" by ABC World News Tonight.
The Economist magazine calls Brin an "Enlightenment Man", someone who believes that knowledge is everything. This philosophy is then summarized into the Google principle "universally accessible and useful" and "don't be evil".
The studies conducted by Sergey are closely related to search engines, extraction of unstructured information, and extracting data from collections of texts and scientific data. He then published many academic studies, including the Extracting Pattern and Relations from the World Wide Web (Extracting Patterns and Relationships from the World Wide Web, -Red); Dynamic Data Mining: A New Architecture for Data With High Dimensionality, which was later published together with Larry Page; Scalable Technique for Mining casual structures; Dynamic Itemset Counting and Implication Rules for Market Basket Data; and Beyond market Baskets; Generalizing Association Rules to Correlation.
Many achievements have been made by Sergey Brin. Among them, in 2002, he and Larry Page were awarded as the top 100 innovators in the world under the age of 35 by MIT Technology Review TR1100. In 2003, Sergey Brin and Larry Page received an honorary MBA from IE Business School. Subsequently in 2004, he received an award from the Marconi Foundation and the Academy of Achievement's Golden Plate Award with Larry Page in Chicago, Illinois.
Most recently, in 2009, Forbes Magazine mentioned that Sergey Brin and Larry Page became one of five people who have important power in the world. Then in 2012, Forbes listed its name as the 24th richest person in the world with a total wealth of 18.7 million dollars in March 2012.
